ScienceCache app for iPhone and iPad

ScienceCache is a USGS-sponsored project that allows researchers to design a data collection effort using a web application and then push that activity to the ScienceCache mobile application. Scientists develop routes complete with target ‘geocache’ locations, questions to be answered, photos to be taken, and instructions/photos to assist with training. The user/geocacher downloads the routes of interest and is guided to a geocache site along the route. As they approach the site the user answers questions and takes photos before going to the next site. Data collected from these users are shared with any researcher or citizen science group address questions of scientific interest.
